The Strategy of Industrial Tourism’s Development in Saint Petersburg

Research paper is devoted to investigate the special features of the industrial tourism development in Saint-Petersburg to form the strategy of industrial tourism promotion from the government. There are theoretical approaches to industrial tourism identification and special features of its control investigated in the research paper as well as elements of the strategic elements of the particular tourism type development in the big cities. During the research the industrial companies of Saint-Petersburg which are the industrial tourism objects were identified and analyzed. Within the work focused interviews were organized with production companies representatives. The other method was content-analysis of involved production companies’ sites and content-analysis of the tourists’ reviews about their experience of the industrial excursions visit. As a result of the research the conclusions on the Saint-Petersburg’s industrial tourism market structure were developed, features of the product development and communication with customer system were identified. Based on the results the strategy was formed to provide the development of the industrial tourism in Saint-Petersburg.
