Analysis of M&A Transactions in Food Industry

The title of my diploma paper is Analysis of M&A Transactions in Food Industry. This graduation work is about mergers and acquisitions, their role in modern economy and influence on financial ratios of firms committing merger. The topic of the given diploma paper is the evaluation of efficiency of M&A transactions in food and beverage manufacturing. The purpose of the work is to give some information about historical aspects of M&A and brief comparison of major research papers about mergers and acquisitions. Much attention is given to approaches to the measurement of the M&A efficiency. The readers’ attention is also drawn to merger between Kraft Foods and Cadbury, and its analysis through 12-factor decomposition of ROE. The results indicated that this method of M&A analisis allows to predict the synergistic effect of the transaction.
