Key Success Factors in the Hotel Industry (Case of Moscow Hotels of Midscale Segment)

This project is written on identifying of key success factors. The object of analysis is the Moscow hotel industry of the middle segment. The indicators that determine the work of a hotel are the capacity of a hotel, the average price for a room and revenue per available room. The main goal of any hotel management is to maximize all the indicators and make as small as possible gap between the average price and revenue per available room. In addition, the hotel works for guests, so increasing of loyalty and getting good reviews are also very important. That is why managers should offer good service, optimal price and wide range of additional services. To achieve these objectives the management of the hotel should understand the factors that affect the activity of the hotel and to know how competitors, buyers, suppliers and substitutes can influence on the hotel. During the research there were used such methods of analysis as PEST-analysis, analysis of Porter 5 forces and identifying of driving forces. Moreover, all the analyzes were completed by expert evaluation. The revealed list of key success factors that were also subjected to expert evaluation became the result of the investigation.
