Justification of a Choice of the Software for Supporting Projects Resource Management

This paper covers the investigation of the procedure of software and supplier selection on the basis of the organization in the metallurgical industry, as well as tendering approach, using mathematical decision-making tools of analyzing complex decisions (AHP), which supports the use of evaluation criteria related to IT goals and the company's business objectives. The approach of tenders arranging for selection of software and supplier based on the use of standards: COBIT 5, «MRPII Standard System» and expert assessment team of consultants of the IT department. The special attention is paid to issues relating to relevant business and IT objectives of the company, as well as the formation and use of analytic hierarchy process in software selection. There is a critical analysis of the strategic development of the company's information systems and tenders’ selection rules of software and supplier. The result of the study will allow to describe the formalized approach of tenders’ selection of software and supplier based on international standards. The paper contains 40 tables, 6 figures, consists of 69 pages, 2 attachments, and refers to 13 sources and confidential documents of the "SAP CIS’s" Knowledge Base.
