The Role of Regional Clusters in the Development of IT Business in the Central Region of Russia

The purpose of this study is to identify the role of regional clusters in the development of it business in Central region of Russia. The work consists of three chapters. The first Chapter contains theoretical information: a theory of efficiency of interaction between actors, the strategic management theory and the experience of clusters development in Russia and factors influencing the development of it companies in clusters. In the second Chapter is the analysis of the situation on the IT market of Russia. The state policy influencing the development of IT industry and the advantages of the companies located inside and outside the scientific cluster were determined there. In the final Chapter Russian IT companies, leaders in the information technology industry, were considered. There was also the analysis of the interviews, and then developed recommendations for future of IT companies. The recommendations will help not to make mistakes when making decisions. Managers and entrepreneurs will be able to study the key success factors of the company-developer of antivirus software. At the end of the study, the researchers were concluded that today the cluster of the IT-business in the Russian reality is not what is commonly understood as based on a foreign cluster formations. However, the government is a supporter of the clustering, so there are potential and hope for success.
