Project Time Management in Rosenergoatom Company

Nowadays, project planning tools and techniques are commonly used by project managers. However, there is no clear evidence that these tools are appropriate for all types of projects. Some empirical data emphasize the project statistics failure in nuclear industry. For instance, Rosatom revealed that construction of the nuclear power plant is significantly behind the schedule and substantially over cost. This research was conducted to develop recommendations on improving the project time management process in Rosenergoatom company. This study highlited some major features of the large construction projects, examined project planning tools and techniques appropriate for nuclear industry, analysed the project time management process in Rosenergoatom company and identified the challenges faced by the company. The recommendations on improving the project time management process were made as a result of the study.
