Professional Development of Women in Public Service Sector in Modern Russia

The theme of the degree project - "Professional Development of Women in Public Service Sector in Modern Russia." The key words of the degree project are professional careers of women in Public Service Sector, gender asymmetry in power structure in Russia. The object of the project is to study the formation of the staff in Public Service Sector of the Russian Federation in the period 1990 - 2015 years. Subject of research is the process of formation and professional development of women in Public Service Sector of the Russian Federation in the period 1990 - 2015 years. The diploma project is set out on 73 pages, includes 5 tables, 3 diagrams, 1 graph, 1 appendix, 66 literary sources. In the introduction the actuality of the topic is substantiated, the object and subject of research are identified , the goal of the diploma project is set , objectives and hypotheses are formulated, the work structure and the practical significance of the study are marked. In the first chapter of the diploma project three Public Administration Theories are considered for analyzing the situation of women in the public service through these theories and their professional development opportunities. In the second chapter there is the analysis of the regulatory and legal status of women in the civil service in the Russian Federation and the key terminology in the field of career development of women - civil servants. The third chapter presents the quantitative analysis (statistics) to identify the gender asymmetry in the Russian authorities, a qualitative analysis (survey of women in in Public Service Sector) to analyze the barriers to their career development, and formulated recommendations for the advancement of women in Public Service Sector in modern Russia. Conclusion contains the findings of the research paper and the direction for further research in this area.
