Actions of the Islamic State in the Middle East are one of the most «hot» topics in last two years in media. However, those actions could be treated differently in different countries, ethnoses and religious groups. This forces media, especially international planforms, to change the way of covering such delicate topics. This study presents the analyses of the methods, used to cover IS actions on two big international platforms, which belongs to the different cultures, RT and Al Jazeera. The General problem of this study is to work out a link between actions of the Islamic State in the Middle East and news coverage of those actions on RT and Al Jazeera. The present investigation will largerly be confiend to going into finding deep roots of the difference between covering the same actions on different channels. However, this investigation will revial some specifications of news coverage per each media platphorm. Speaking about the novelty of the study, it is significant to mention that amount of researches dedicated to developing of opinions about Islamic State in media is very little. Therefore, I believe that the present research will deepen an understanding of theory of building public opinion via media.
The problem posed is of great interest for those ingaged in a social studies, journalistics and international politics, including Middle East politics spesialists. The results anticipated could provide deeper understanding of methods of building someones image in media and explain what is the Islamic State’s «media- fairytale» phenomenon.
