The Application of the Multimedia Technologies in the Activity of Football Clubs (on the Example of Professional and Amateur Teams)

With the formation of the Internet in the 1990 and due to development of the modern technologies multimedia has integrated to the all spheres in our life including sport. The activity of sport clubs has changed significantly because of the substantial influence of the multimedia technologies: teams majorly pay attention to the activity of users on the cyberspace, cover matches online, implement all commercial processes with the help of the Internet. Nowadays that kind of the activities is vital. The research is focused, mainly, on the establishment of the main trends of multimedia application in the activity of football clubs. Current research covers the problem of multimedia usage as the method of formation and amplification the community. In the work the connection between multimedia and sponsorships has been considered and the question how digitals can increase the interest of the audience to the football events has been discovered. In the first chapter “the definition of the multimedia and the role of sport in the mass culture” is studying the meaning of convergence and sport is considered as a part of mass media. The methods that are used are the following: comparative analysis, periodization, genetic and historic analysis, the work with the electronic recourses, monitoring. The second chapter “The application of multimedia in the activity of football clubs” shows the main trends of using digitals in the football clubs and leagues and the connection between the interest of the audience and multimedia technologies has been established. The methods that are used in this chapter are the work with the electronic recourses, collection of the information and monitoring.

The results can be used in the practice of developing various strategies for football club and moreover it is up-to-date to the workers in the sport media sphere.
