The Relationship Between a Reader and a Literary Character in the Space of Reader's Individual Life-World

A research is performed within personality psychology and psychology of creative activity. This interdisciplinary work is devoted to analysis of a new phenomenon in psychology – relationship between the reader and literary character. The author offers the understanding of psychological condition and experiences of a person in the course of work with fiction. A research objective is the proof of existence of the relationship between the reader and literary character and also possible influences of such relationship on authenticity of the reader in the space of his individual life-world. The thesis comprises the theoretical analysis of a phenomenon of the relationship between the reader and literary character and results of data of empirical research. On the basis of the conducted depth interviews, the author shows how the person experiences the such relationship and what receives from it.
