Strategic Alternatives Development for Extraction and Enrichment of Coal Business of "DTEK" company

Relevance of research is caused by the fact that modern Ukraine is characterized by the high level of political and economic instability. Crisis at the Southeast part of Ukraine has negatively influenced one of the key markets for the country, – production and enrichment of energy coal. The lack of this resource negatively influences at all power complex of the country. As “DTEK” - monopolist in this market , we can assume that the solution of their problems will lead to the solution of problems in all market.

The analysis of the existing problems in the designated area has allowed to formulate the purpose of work, which is the strategic analysis of external and internal environment "DTEK" with development of strategic alternatives for their business on production and enrichment of coal.

For achievement of the object , set in work, the following methods of research have been used: logical generalization, the analysis and synthesis, comparison - for the characteristic of stages of developing of system of strategic management; system approach to definition components of process of strategic management and justification of their communication; economical and statistical methods of data collection and processing: selective, groups, average sizes; economic-mathematical methods, method of expert evaluations at implementation of the analysis and an assessment of strategic alternatives; scenario approach to development of strategy, matrix methods of formation of strategy of development, graphic .

Based on the conclusions , presented in work , were formulated strategic alternatives for “DTEK” company and way of their realization, which can be used as base for development of strategy.
