In this research, we present a computer realization of an automatic multidocument summarization system, which extracts key fragments of the text using the TF-IDF measure. In the course of processing the input documents similar sentences are fused with the aid of the algorithm called Sentence Fusion. This paper examines the specifics of applying this method to summarizing Russian-language documents, the difficulties that arise, and possible ways of overcoming them.
