Current and future direction of the implementation of scientific and technological activities in the Crimea is to reduce energy dependence on external supplies, and as a result, energy savings and energy efficiency in the industrial and agricultural enterprises, expanding the use of alternative energy sources. The paper analyzed the current situation, problems and prospects of development of renewable energy sources in the Crimea. Currently renewables Crimean is 5% of the energy consumed. This Republic of Crimea has a high potential for development of wind and solar energy. The average annual wind speed is 7-8 m/s, with a favorable location in the peninsula on the wind rose. The average energy of solar radiation per year is 1300-1500 kWh / year, and the number of sunny days per year, more than 300 Crimea should become a priority area of "green energy" with a minimum of interference generating facilities of traditional energy. The development of bankable projects on renewable energy is vital for the Crimea issue. For this purpose, we had redesigned the existing method of valuation of economic efficiency of investment and investment projects under the particular projects based on renewable energy sources for the Republic of Crimea. The existing methodology have been added to state subsidies and a new method of calculating the basic variant of power supply, with the result that was obtained more accurate method of estimating the economic effects for the region.
