In this research interrelation between project portfolio structure and stages of organizational lifecycle of IT companies was investigated Objective of research – investigation interrelation between project portfolio structure and stages of organizational lifecycle of IT companies. For achieving the objective of this research several tasks were set and solved: 1. Analyze the approaches and methodologies of project portfolio formation in IT companies. 2. Systemize theoretical approaches of evaluating organizational lifecycle stages. 3. Create the classification of projects in IT companies based on risk level for revealing connection between project portfolio selection methods and type of projects. 4. Create the model of project portfolio structure evaluation. 5. Create the system of corresponding between project portfolio and organizational lifecycle stages. 6. Create the recommendation of changing of project portfolio in LightSoft Research. Hypothesis of research – Project portfolio structure depends on organizational life cycle stages. Based on theoretical part of research, the model of relationship between project portfolio structure and stages of organizational lifecycle was created. During empirical investigation, it was proved that structure of project portfolio changes on different stages of organizational life cycle based on experience of three IT companies. On initial stages the biggest part of recourses is allocated to main product of a company, then on next stages the focus moves on to the projects in adjacent and new markets. In the last part of research, system of company diagnostic was created, which allow to change the project portfolio structure on current stage of organizational lifecycle. Based on this model, some recommendations about project portfolio were made for LightSoft Research company.
