Remote IT Project Team in Russia. Risks, Benefits, Implementation and Methods of Performance Measurement

Master's thesis on the subject. "Remote IT Project Team in Russia. Risks, Benefits, Implementation and Methods of Performance Measurement" was written in order to identify the advantages and disadvantages of using geographically dispersed teams in virtual applications development projects, as well as the choice of the most appropriate management methods for such teams. This paper analyzes the most relevant project management development methodologies and evaluation of IT professionals system. The survey questionnaire was developed by the author, based on the table of the dynamics of team effectiveness, proposed by N.N. Grigorieva and statistical treatment of results of research - Mann-Whitney and factor analysis. Key findings include: 1) Geographically Dispersed Teams, ceteris paribus, have lower costs compared to teams working in the office. 2) The use of agile development in geographically distributed teams increases the involvement of all its members in achieving the objectives of the project.
