Gastronomic Consumption in Saint-Petersburg

In this work was studied how the formation of professional competencies in the field of gastronomy of the waiters of a particular restaurant in Saint – Petersburg influences on their lifestyle. The main method that was used in this study was a method of studying a single case. As a result, it was revealed that the knowledge gained in the course of professional activity, allow them to demonstrate their competencies not only in the professional field, but in their everyday life, that leads to changes in their food culture and also lifestyle in the following way: cooking culture changes, food consumption culture changes, reflection on the process of cooking and food consumption appears.
