Employees' Proactivity and Involvement in Informal E-Learning Correlation

The study is devoted to the problem of employees' proactivity actualization, as a personal disposition, in informal e-learning. The purpose of study is to identify the relationships between employees’ proactivity level and involvement in informal e-learning, taking into account the characteristics of the job. The main proposition was a positive correlation between employees’ proactivity level and intensity of involvement in informal e-learning. 86 respondents (33,7% male and 66,3% female aged from 22 to 56 years) from different industries (production, marketing, consulting, trade, education, etc.) took part in questionnaire. According to the analysis the main proposition was confirmed. Also it was found that characteristics and conditions of the job (innovativeness, autonomy, the possibility of on the job training) mediate proactivity and proactive organizational behavior in informal e-learning correlation. The results can be used for further studies of proactivity and informal e-learning in business organizations.
