The paper analyzes the concept of social problems, identifies the main social problems which are considered in the television KVN games. In addition, in present research were identified trends in the transformation of the social problems that are used to create jokes and comic techniques that are used to write jokes related to social issues in KVN. The first chapter is mainly theoretical and it is devoted to the interpretation of social transformation and the identification of KVN place among the humorous programs on Russian television. The second one, practical chapter reveals the social problems of the KVN games and trends in the transformation of jokes. The hypothesis of the work is that in earlier KVN games the participants joked more frequently about the alcohol abuse, using a pun and bringing the situation to absurdity, and later about the corruption of government officials and social inequality through such techniques as violation of idioms and parody.
