Warehouse System Optimization

The article presents the theoretical and practical aspects of warehouse system optimization. The paper gives a description of a warehouse as an important element of the logistics system. Furthermore this article contains a description of warehouse’s functions, gives types of warehouses and its classification. The article introduces the operations that are carried out in the warehouse, as well as to the allocation of warehouse zones. This paper also shows the ways of optimization of warehouse operations. Moreover, the article analyzes the company «Flora Service», revealed errors and inaccuracies in the management of the logistics system and made the development of a number of recommendations. Key words: optimization, warehouse, logistics.
