The Image of a Woman in the Modern Intelligent Comedy on the Example of Woody Allen's Films

The evolution of the female image on the screen reflects the real social, political and cultural processes that occur in the world. Experts from the United States which are engaged in the study of gender issues in the media, examined gender discrimination in the film industry, after analyzing a lot of films made in recent years in different countries. Researchers concluded that the level of discrimination against women in the film is even higher than in ordinary life. "Women are under-represented in the movie. Of all the heroes who scripted utter any replica, only a third - women. Only 23% of the main roles are reserved "fair sex". And, if you look at the scope of employment, whereas a woman's life ranged from 40% to 50% of the working population, in the movie, only 23% representation of women realize themselves professionally. "

Representation of women on the silver screen also depends on the gender of the director, filmmaking. Research objectives:

On the basis of gender studies to determine the place and role of the image of the woman on the screen, to determine what constitutes an intellectual comedy as a film genre on the basis of the considered films of Woody Allen to choose the tools for analyzing the woman's image, which is represented in these paintings reveal the characteristic features of the representation of women in the modern cinema in the genre of comedy.
