Economic Terms as Ideologemes

This capstone project is dedicated to a problem of ideologization of economic terms in the USSR. As a result of the ideologization the economic terms have become ideologemes and were used in discourse in the Soviet period. As resources of analysis newspapers, dictionaries and a textbook on political economy were used. The research consists of descriptive analysis with elements of linguistic expertize and hierarchical clustering. The results of the analysis show that the main tools of ideologisation are: the creation of semantics oppositions, metaphors, lexical-sematic tools, quotes.
