Media Image of the Modern Don Cossacks: the Comparative Analysis of Regional and Federal Mass Media Contents

This work is devoted to the construction of the Don Cossacks mediobraza in federal and regional mass media. The relevance of the study due to the fact that during the rule of President Vladimir Putin, has intensified the process of revival of the Cossacks and the integration into the civil service of Cossack organizations. The aim of this work was to identify the differences between the federal and regional media image of modern Don Cossacks. To achieve this task have been resolved specifying the concept of "Don Cossacks", analyzing the history of this phenomenon, the Cossacks of the development process from the earliest times to the present day; identify elements of modern media image of the Don Cossacks established channels "Don-TR" and "Russia-24". The methods used to solve these problems consist of periodization, the analysis of historical and literary sources, quantitative analysis, intent analysis and comparative analysis. Scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that in this study was first identified mediobraz modern Don Cossacks, created on the basis of materials of regional and federal mass media.
