Interaction of Self-Valuing and Self-Devaluing Processes During Psychotherapy

Psychotherapist position is considered to be one of the key factors of therapeutic client-centered approach; in something close to it therapeutic neutrality is an important part of psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy techniques. Today, studies are available significant volumes of transcripts of psychotherapy sessions, allowing to track the reaction, indicating the estimated position and non-judgmental therapist and observe changes in the course of the session associated with these replicas. In particular, the analysis of these data has helped to clarify the positions of specialist communication and activity of self-worth and assignment processes of self-devaluation.
