Computer Simulation of Visual Objects in the Integral Calculus Course

Student: Irina Kushnir

Supervisor: Alexey Antonovich Nikitin

Faculty: Faculty of Computer Science

Educational Programme: Applied Mathematics and Information Science (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 9

Year of Graduation: 2016

The paper is devoted to creation of a set of visual modules, which simulate the transformation of integration areas by changing of variables with according to the mathematical analysis topic “Integration areas in different coordinate systems”. Visual modules are created by writing programs in the programming language JavaScript using methods of the graphical library Grafar, which has possibilities of three-dimensional visualization. This library was designed for the needs of the educational project VisualMath.ru, which is developed as a useful tool for quality education of students and the development of their geometric intuition in the mathematical analysis course. Grafar library methods give an opportunity to develop programs that simulate objects, received by the intersection of algebraic surfaces and by implicit functions. Final visual modules will be included into online-lectures of VisualMath.ru platform.
