Relevance of research topic: federal and regional methods to improving living conditions of young families in our days are standardized. Available methods don’t meet young families’ requirements (needs) because young families have limited opportunities due to their socio-economic status. Small choice can reduce the number of young families, who can use their right to housing. The foreign experience, the experience of Russian regions and Perm’s laws about the methods to improving living conditions of young families showed that available methods are limited. So it is necessary to explore young families’ opinions to identify the most popular methods to improving living conditions of young families. Conducted survey revealed different types of young families with similar socio-economic characteristics and the most popular methods to improving living conditions of young families. In addition, recommendations on improving the organizational aspects of the implementation of regional programs of the Perm region aimed at supporting young families in solving the housing problem were formed.
