Philology
(Bachelor’s programme)
9
2016
While William Faulkner’s novels have been thoroughly investigated, his short stories have been almost left neglected, which can be proved by the significant number of articles upon the subject. This study makes an attempt to explore the poetics of space in Faulkner’s collection of stories “These Thirteen”, in order to determine the rules and techniques used by the author to create the structure of space in accordance with time and impact from and on the characters.
