The Poetic Basis of the Prosaic Text: “Ynglinga saga” and “Ynglingatal” in Snorri Sturluson's “The Earth's Circle”

Ynglinga saga written by Snorri Sturluson is widely studied like a historical document. This work analyses the saga from philological point of view. The text is examined like a prose based on poetry. At the centre of attention is a comparison of the saga and skaldic poems.
