Analysis of Company's Financial Standing and Recommendations for its Improving

The financial analysis is a reliable instrument and the base for management decision-making, which influence on relations with contractors: shareowners, customers, suppliers, government agencies, financial institutions. The analysis’s results can help to determine in time and eliminate unsatisfactory features and find out reserves for equity increase. That is why fundamental issue of this study is the assessment, diagnostic and forecasting Public Join-stock Company Nizhegorodsky Machine Building Plant’s financial standing, including analysis of financial sources, results economic activity and solvency. The analysis’s results are financial downfall of chosen company and low profitability of its assets and equity. In consequence of this concrete recommendations for improving financial standing were developed. Besides measures for demand increasing and reduction cost of production this investigation includes the analysis of a possibility to use Alcoa Inc. methods of financial standing improving . The analysis of American company’s financial standing has showed that meanings of all coefficients are higher than in Russian company and, in addition, have a rapidly growing tendency. To sum up, it may be said that Alcoa Inc. use very effective ways for improving its financial position, which can be applied by other companies. The paper consist of 3 parts and 186 pages. The first one is devoted to analysis of statutory enactments and scientific literature, which contains theoretical aspects of financial analysis. The second part is aimed to direct analysis of chosen companies. And the last but not the least part contains recommendations for improving financial position in a forecasted period.
