Development of Smartphone-based Virtual Reality Helmet

This work describes processes of development of smartphone-based virtual reality helmet with following characteristics: support of different smartphone types, high sound and visual quality and reliable isolation. Overview and comparative analysis of most popular smartphone-based virtual reality helmets in three different price categories, programs for 3D-modelling, headphones, optical lenses and plastic for 3D-printing with further selection of most appropriate decisions for elaboration of similar devices are produced. The next step of work is creation of 3D-parts of virtual reality helmet with further printing of created parts with 3D-printer and purchasing of spare parts, which are not handmade. The final stage of work is handmade assembly of virtual reality helmet with further testing of device on different smartphones and applications for simulation of virtual reality effect.
