The thesis addresses various philosophical, psychological, social-epistemological, cultural-historical approaches to the Self-concept in order to identify current methodological problems and to verify the possibility of their interdisciplinary interaction. In terms of the main research question serious attention would be paid to V. P. Zinchenko's works and the methodological paradigm of cultural-historical psychology (cultural-historical epistemology) as role-model to interdisciplinary interaction of philosophy and the special sciences considering a Self-problem in philosophical and humanitarian aspects. Within the scope of this investigation it would be argued that methodological approach of cultural-historical psychology established by V. P. Zinchenko can be considered as the basis for new "Self-ontology" in interdisciplinary field of study.
