Economic Education in Primary School: «Me and the City» Concept

Due to the influence of many historical factors there is a relatively low level of economic culture in Russia today. As a result, state and municipal authorities are certain losses - primarily financial, associated with the irrational, unthrifty consumer behavior within the framework of the city's economy. The reason for this study and the main problem is the lack of conceptual approaches to economic education in elementary school. The obvious solution to this problem is to create such a concept in the framework of the city's economy. During the study the concept of "Me and the City" was created. This concept solves the problem of economic education of younger schoolchildren in the framework of the city's economy. The concept was partially tested in primary school one of Perm schools and has proved its effectiveness and viability. In the future, this concept can be applied in any educational institution Perm, as well as adapted to any other city.
