Actuality of the research is conditioned by increasing influence of Mass Media on the family sphere and by forming of an ideal family image. When constructing a discourse of family policy, modern Russian Mass Media create normative models of family relations, interpreted in their own way and its relevance to the current state of the family institution can be doubted. The main objective of this research is the reconstruction of normative models of family relations that are represented on the pages of state and private media in Russia influenced by changes in family policy in Russia. Empirical basis for the research consists of the following printed and e-resources: " Russian Gazette " (Rossiyskaya Gazeta), "Arguments and facts" (Argumenty i Fakty), that contain texts concerning this issue and published during the period from January'1 2000 up to December'31 2015. This research is aimed at the description and characterization of the way the family relations are shown in the Russian Mass Media in terms of family policy transformation in Russia in the 21t century. The results of this research will allow to estimate the relevance of Mass Media communication activity to the essence and direction of the Russian family policy.
