The work is devoted to theoretical reconstructing of general categories in artwork theory of M. Heidegger and Benjamin W. In this case reconstruction of aesthetical views of both philosophers is provided in the context of the modern world. The main motifs in the work of art in aesthetical views of both philosophers are: its non-linear structure, its connection with the past, its ability to embrace the world as a whole and to keep the beauty and the truth and the need for its safekeeping and maintenance. Then the fundamental principles are explicated in poetry and important figures in this field for both philosophers. For Heidegger, Hölderlin is the perfect expression of his principles of art, because firstly, poetry is the highest embodiment of all art, which in essence - language. Secondly, Hölderlin can look at the world, being away from it, and thereby provide the key to looking over the world in his art. For Benjamin, who also sees language as an essential element of art, there are two significant figures: Brecht, who can change the worldview of modern man by creating a new kind of the work of art - epic theater, and Baudelaire - a poet, who is able to look at the world as a whole, and who is trying to givethis view to the modern reader using hiscontemporary language.
