Educational Programme: Control Systems and Data Processing in Engineering (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2016

In the present work the object of research is the phenomenon of magnetic levitation, the subject of research – control of magnetic field that provides a levitation of ferromagnetic bodies. Purpose of work is studying mathematical models of magnetic levitation and building the nonlinear control for selected model of magnetic levitation. In the process of work, various nonlinear models for implementation of magnetic levitation was explored, for the selected model extended linearization was made by method of State Dependent Coefficients (SDC), the control was built and computer modeling of the system with and without the presence of management performed. Through simulation, it was confirmed providing magnetic levitation of a ferromagnetic body with synthesized nonlinear control. The results of this work can be used to develop linear and radial magnetic bearings, as well as in other fields of engineering.

Student Theses at HSE must be completed in accordance with the University Rules and regulations specified by each educational programme.

Summaries of all theses must be published and made freely available on the HSE website.

The full text of a thesis can be published in open access on the HSE website only if the authoring student (copyright holder) agrees, or, if the thesis was written by a team of students, if all the co-authors (copyright holders) agree. After a thesis is published on the HSE website, it obtains the status of an online publication.

Student theses are objects of copyright and their use is subject to limitations in accordance with the Russian Federation’s law on intellectual property.

In the event that a thesis is quoted or otherwise used, reference to the author’s name and the source of quotation is required.
