PervoLogo Educational Software for Android OS

PervoLogo is an integrated creative environment for primary schools based on Logo programming language. The desktop version of PervoLogo is widely used in the educational process. This paper justifies the need to create educational software with use of PervoLogo mechanics for mobile devices. Mobile devices have some additional features such as touchscreen and enhanced media capabilities which can make PervoLogo projects more interactive. However, mobile devices have limited screen size. In this paper we consider current approaches to educational software, examine mechanics of PervoLogo, and describe the details of the process of adaptation PervoLogo for mobile devices. Based on the results presented in this paper PervoLogo for Android OS is developed. It can help children to make their first step in studying programming with use of their mobile device. The paper contains 50 pages, 4 chapters, 21 illustrations, 2 tables, 46 bibliography items, 7 appendices.
