Development and Comparison of Algorithms for Constructing the Canonical Basis of Implications

The topic of the thesis refers to the field of formal concept analysis. The paper touches upon generation the implications of attributes in formal contexts. The key objective of this study is to research existing algorithms for constructing the Duquenne-Guigues basis of implications. Various algorithms for constructing the basis of implications were effectively implemented in C++. Moreover the algorithms for solving the arising subroutines, such as computing the closure of set, basis minimization, context reduction, were implemented. It should be mentioned that In the course of the work various technical-level and algorithmic optimizations were elaborated and effectively implemented. Experiments, which were carried out on real-world and synthetic datasets, highlight the effectiveness of the implementations and show that the elaborated optimizations improve existing state-of-the-art algorithms.
