Problems of Youth Entering the Labor Market By Anna A. Feoktistova. The Bachelor’s Thesis by the fourth-year student of the group 12WE-2 NRSU HSE – Nizhny Novgorod, training direction 38.03.01 «Economics» and educational program “Economics” contains 58 pages, 9 tables, and 9 appendixes. The present research is devoted to a number of problems of university graduates. The rational of the chosen topic is determined by the fact that at the present time experts have been noted the imbalance of the labor market in case that the labor demand does not match labor supply regarding graduates. The object of the study is students and graduates of the Higher School of Economics - Nizhny Novgorod, and the subject is their expectations about the various characteristics of the employment process. Consequently, the purpose of this work should be stated as to identify specific discrepancies of expectations of students and graduates in relation to the real situation on the labor market, as well as making recommendations to address these inconsistencies. As a method of conducting the current research it was chosen the online survey of students and graduates of the HSE - Nizhny Novgorod. The respondents were divided into two groups: • unemployed - who were interviewed with respect to the expectations of the various parameters of the labor market, • employed - who were interviewed in order to identify the real state of the labor market. With the same purpose semi-structured interviews with current and potential employers were also conducted. According to the results of the survey it was made a number of conclusions regarding the expectations of students and graduates. The results of this study should be useful for employees of universities in the process of developing a set of measures for the professional and social integration of students and HR staff while solving the problem of increasing the efficiency of recruiting young professionals’ services.
