Features of Corporate Culture of an Organization on the Example of an Oil Company

Corporate culture initially determines the nature of the internal interactions of the company. Corporate values, as one of the basic elements of corporate culture, also affect the mechanisms for the implementation of projects aimed at interaction with the external environment. This study focuses on the corporate culture of oil companies in Russia. The result of their activities in the current environment of the country affects not only their profit but also the general welfare of the state. The internal features of the corporate culture of the company, which are enshrined in the internal documents, at its external contacts manifest themselves in different degrees. First of all, is determined by the specifics of the object on which the interaction is directed. Structural units of the company demonstrate adherence to corporate values. Special role have the leaders of these units, because their commitment to these values in theory forms the style of their work. The hierarchical management style in oil companies (as in public bodies) also affects the style of leadership. As a result of analysis of the corporate environment of the company "LUKOIL" and its external interactions, it was confirmed that the degree of manifestation of corporate values in the implementation of projects depends on the object of interaction. It is the criterion to determine the working tasks of the departments. Expectations, values and preferences of the state, other organizations, potential employees and customers affect the value orientation of structural units. One of the mechanisms of team building company is the implementation of projects with the involving of all its departments to their realization. Russian oil companies in their implementation confirm the claimed commitment to corporate values, which enhances their image in the eyes of the society.
