Ornament is one of the most ancient graphic forms of human self-expression. It is a tool which can be useful in describing environment, by means of which man learns the world and attaches signs and symbols to the objects surrounding him. Important parts of every ornament are its unique features and consistency. Ornament differs from other types of art and should be treated differently. Also, ornament can be viewed as system combining geometric and stylized figures. Eurhythmy, functionality and orderliness are ornament’s main properties. The system is a kind of a code or identification of a nation. For example, in East Asia, nature is the main object of contemplation, allowing a man to live in harmony with the world and teaching him to learn everything surrounding him. Decorative art of China, Japan, Korea, Tibet and Mongolia is a wealthy world of forms and images taken from their folklore. It has big impact on people’s lives. Oriental ornaments are full of symbolism. Every ornament contains complicated, though flexible, system of connections and contrasts, which are extremely helpful in understanding culture and mentality of people
