MASIW Plugin for Software and Hardware Systems' Architectural Models Transformation

This paper is dedicated to model transformation techniques application in MASIW framework. In this work, we describe the role of MASIW framework in modeling software-hardware systems, problems that arise while using and developing MASIW and that can be solved with help of model transformation techniques, which theoretical foundations we present as well. Moreover, in this paper we consider MASIW integration with model transformation tools, such as ATLAS Transformation Language (ATL) and describe the decisions on the creation of the environment for developing programs in ATL in the tool and its use cases in MASIW: as model transformation and model analysis language. The aim of the work was to develop a plugin for MASIW to facilitate users invoking ATL modules, as well as to develop an ATL library to make users’ life simplier in future work with ATL.
