This paper is dedicated to the algorithm for detection of the graphical primitives on the image. In this work, the theoretical basis for the Hough Transform is provided. Moreover, an overview of other approaches to the shape extraction problem is given. In addition, the mathematical model for invariant to affine transformations Hough transform is described. The main objective of the work is development of the program of graphical primitives detection on the image. The base algorithm that was used for this purpose is generalized Hough transform, which can be defined as modified version of the classical Hough transform algorithm. This algorithm provides an opportunity for template-matching and detection of the graphical primitives undergoing affine transformation. The developed program provides GUI that makes it easier to communicate within the user and visualizes the result of the algorithm application. This work consists of 31 pages, 3 sections, 11 images, 5 tables, 16 references, 4 annexes. Key words: image processing, Hough transform, affine transformations.
