The project concerns theoretical constraints, empirical verifications and falsifications of Ricardian theory of comparative advantage by the example of international trade. Logical structure of basic assumptions comes under study to outline the general ideological image of the theory and Ricardian economic policy. The analysis of empirical cases and induced regularities of 20th century international trade elucidates theoretical inconsistencies in the structure of assumptions to shed light upon certain problematic and unrealistic parts of the theory.
