Young people higher educated abroad are a valuable human resource of the country. They are a source of foreign advanced skills, practices and competences and compensate on homecoming the negative effects of "brain drain". On the one hand, higher education abroad opens up perspectives on the global labor market, on the other hand, it bears in itself certain risks: lack of demand in professional terms, difficulties on homecoming. The current situation on the global labor market contributes to the return process to Russia of the highly qualified young people higher educated abroad. Nevertheless, as a result of educational migration young people have certain life expectations, affecting all spheres of their life: career, family, personal growth, their vision of themselves in Russia or abroad. Semi-structured interviews in 2014 and 2016 have allowed to reveal dynamics and typology of the life expectations of returning professionals and to get an estimate of foreign education.
