Normative Criteria for Recruitment of Bank Employees (by the example of a Russian bank)

The research is devoted to the study of modern banking professions in Russia. Political, economic and cultural changes in the russian society and the rapid diffusion of information and communications technology produced the transformations in banking activity. The research examine the main phases of banking professionalization in the current social environment. Particular attention is paid to the formation and maintenance of professionalism through various mechanisms of access control used by professional group. In a banking organization the function of these mechanisms is realized by means of recruitment system. The investigation represent the case-study of one of the largest russian commercial banks. It results in identifying banking professionals characteristics, depending on the activity area and functions within the bank, as well as the main selection criteria and skills for candidates and employees of the bank.
