The Scenarios of St. Petersburg Political (Re)Branding in 2014 Anti-Russian Sanctions Conditions

In 2014, against Russia, the international community has imposed a series of sanctions that are relevant to this day (05.2016). Their action has a negative effect both on the subjects of sanctions, and the object. Therefore, the introduction of such countermeasures is significant public and political issue, primarily for Russia. In this research work the author is looking for alternative ways of economic and political development of St. Petersburg as the region of state delinquent in terms of sanctions. St. Petersburg serves as a pilot site for innovation, as well as a mediator between Russia and the European Union. In the process, it was revealed that the optimal model of development, is the symbiosis of cross-border regional cooperation in the framework of the concept of paradiplomacy, and methods of regional branding. Based on the analysts presented three scenarios of development of St. Petersburg. In research were used: two chapters, ten tables, two schemes and one hundred and fourteen literature sources (including publications in mass media). The total number of pages in master's work: 136.
