Investigation of the Influence of Contact Measuring Instruments on Temperature Measurement Accuracy

Topic of the final qualifying work is “Investigation of the Influence of Contact Measuring Instruments on Temperature Measurement Accuracy”.

The final qualifying work includes 14 pictures, 12 tables and 22 literature resources. The overall workload is 68 pages.

This paper presents the modern methods and instruments of temperature measurement, its analysis and comparison. It also considers software systems of thermal modeling and mathematical methods that are the basis of these software packages.

Furthermore, the analysis of such contact measurement means as a thermocouple was conducted. The factors affecting the accuracy of temperature measurements using thermocouples were identified. The experimental and computational researches of interrelation between the temperature measurement accuracy and the contact thermal resistance have been done. The method of taking into account the measurement errors introduced by the thermocouple was proposed. This method is based on mathematical modeling of thermal processes.

The temperature of electronic components of analog switching unit (ASU-04) taking into account the contact thermal resistance was calculated. These calculations were carried out in the software packages SolidWorks and ASONIKA.
