Periodic is a voice of era. It is a people who write about topical news and see a situation from a position of the present. Relevance of research consists in determination of historicism of social and economic crisis on materials of the local press. A research objective - definition of tendencies of development of social and economic crisis in Kizel in materials of the local press. Thanks to analysis of the certain city it is possible to track prospect and tendencies of development of depressive territories of Russia in historical prospect – through comparison of tendencies of development of crisis in the peak and 10 years later.
