Peculiarities of Motivation of Public Servants in Modern Russia
Changes in society and political order, evolving ethical values and inefficient public service put the development of new methods of motivation in public service high on the list of priorities in modern Russia. To build an efficient system of motivation, we need to study the the specifics of motivating employees engaged in public service. Chapter 1 analyses fundamental theoretical approaches to employee motivation with a view to operationalizing them. Chapter 2 examines the specifics of Public Service operation in Russia, and uses theory to analyze the empiric data. The specific attributes and problems in the system of motivation make it possible to propose new courses of development and increasing efficiency of public service in general and public servants performance in particular.
