Adaptation Strategies to the Retirement Age

This study is an attempt at highlighting some issues pertaining to the sphere of social adaptation to the retirement age. As the research problem lies in the lack of information about the influence of society on the peoples` behavior at the advanced age, the purpose of this project could be framed as follows: to observe and analyze labor transitions, family, daily practices and household chores, vital interests and values, and to establish some strategies of social adaptation to this age. The present investigation will be largely confined to evaluating human condition in the society connected with the beginning of retirement age. The goal of this study will be achieved by the development of qualitative sociological methods, particularly narrative interviews and involved observation. The baseline results are intended to enable to me to make some generalizations which could stimulate to come closer to understanding some peoples` behavior at the retirement age.
