Psychoanalytic Aspects of Emotional Risk Management

This paper contains a research of the emotional risk formation, effected by the way of suicidal act, from psychoanalytical method on the case study of the airline pilot. The subject of research are emotional factors that lead to suicidal decision and unconscious processes beneath. Rationale comes from the fact that currently there’s no research in respect of the psychoanalytical aspects of emotional risk in aviation. As a result, the author basing on the analysis of individual case of the pilot-suicider has determined that precise examination and analysis of the biographic information enable reconstruct pretty full and deep enough scenario of development and formation of emotional risk up till the moment of the incident, which allows to state that hypothesis, that temporal and conjunctural factors consideration together with analysis of the biographic information give an opportunity to predict and assess the level of emotional risk in case of the suicidal decision, has been proven.
